Wastewater treatment
Wastewater
Costs for (waste) water are increasing. That is why reusing water is often a good starting point to reduce your costs. Less water intake also means less wastewater. Wastewater reuse is not always possible as legal provisions or your HACCP rules prohibit this. The water will then eventually have to be discharged. The costs involved are determined by the amount of pollution units (VE) in the wastewater. That is, the dirtier the water, the higher the cost.
Wastewater can be filtered using different techniques. In practice, sieve bends, drum filters, screw presses or belt filters are often used. But these filters often do not get the wastewater clean enough and are often expensive to use: these require a lot of maintenance, have a high filter consumption or simply need a lot of operator attention. As a result, the costs for the filtered wastewater remain high. Do you want to get the most out of your wastewater? Then a vibratory separator is the ideal solution. With a vibratory separator, you can effectively dispose of wastewater from all solids.
The simplicity of the machine, small installation space, low consumption costs combined with the low investment ensure the enormous growth of the vibration sieves when using wastewater purification. As a result, AMKCO Europe also contributes to a better environment with the vibratory separators.
How does a vibratory separator work?
Simply put, with a vibratory separator you can separate particles in various sizes. For example, you can classify custom powders, sieve pollution or separate solids from water. The wastewater filter from Beta-Industrie ensures optimal filtration. Even at a high capacity and with very low operational costs.
Up to 20 microns, your wastewater is discharged much cleaner and you achieve significant savings on wastewater discharge. The filtered solids are also dry and can be offered as industrial waste.
Reduce the cost of your purification levy
Advantages of the wastewater filter in brief:
- Less wastewater
- Lower waste discharge costs
- Low operating costs
Optimal design
By equipping the vibratory separator with multiple screens, you can optimize the size distribution of the contamination to be removed, from coarse to fine. The vibratory separators can also be adjusted to the requirements you set for the process. You can think of CIP connections, spray nozzles and various materials for the screens. The possibilities are endless. Together we ensure that the machine functions optimally for your circumstances and according to your requirements. Do you also want to save on wastewater discharge? Olive oil
Save on waste water
By equipping the vibrating screen with multiple screen decks, you can optimize the size distribution of the pollution to be removed, from coarse to fine. Moreover, the vibrating screens can be customized to meet the requirements of your process. This includes considerations such as CIP connections, spray nozzles, magnets, ultrasonic cleaning, anti-dust covers, and various screen materials. The possibilities are endless. Together, we ensure that the machine operates optimally for your specific conditions and according to your requirements. Would you also like to save on wastewater discharge? How does a vibrating screen work?
The composition of the solid substances produced from the separator shows values ranging from 6.2% to 10% oil, with typically 50% oil in dry matter.
By removing these suspended substances from the wastewater, the oil content usually remains less than 0.5%, and the COD and BOD5 values see a reduction of approximately 80%.
The waste generated when enriched with these solid substances has an average 30% higher oil content, which means greater value in all aspects of the business.
Reduce the costs of your purification levy
Benefits of the Olive Oil Filter in brief:
- Curd is relieved, ensuring high-quality cheese remains after filtration;
- Percentage of curd fines after sieving is 0.01-0.03%;
- Fat separator operates optimally;
- Low energy consumption;
- Low maintenance costs;
- Short lead times for screen decks;
- Dutch product!
Optimal design
In addition to whey treatment, you can also use the filter for filtering:
- Whey powder
- Baby food
- Milk powder
- Lactose powder
- Melted cheese
- Brine filtration as pretreatment for reverse osmosis.

Saving on wastewater
Costs for (waste)water are continually rising. Therefore, reusing water is often a good starting point to reduce your expenses. Using less water also means less wastewater. It's a win-win situation. However, reuse is not always possible due to legal regulations or your HACCP rules prohibiting it. In such cases, the water will eventually need to be discharged. The costs involved are determined by the amount of pollution units (PU) in the wastewater. In other words: the dirtier the water, the higher the costs. Wastewater can be filtered using various techniques. In practice, sieve bends, drum filters, screw presses, or belt filters are often used. However, these filters often do not clean the wastewater thoroughly enough, and they are also costly to operate: they require a lot of maintenance, have a high filter consumption, or simply demand a lot of operator attention. As a result, the costs for filtered wastewater remain high. If you want to get the most out of your wastewater, a vibrating screen is the ideal solution. With a vibrating screen, you can effectively remove all solid particles from wastewater.
