Vibratory separators options

Horticultural filter

This AMKCO Europe vibratory separator is specially designed for the horticultural industry. The water from the nurseries is hereby stripped of solids without losing the nutrients in the water. The horticultural filter separates the polluted water into a solid mass that can be drained and clean water that can be reused immediately. Depending on the degree of soiling, desired capacity and presence of algae, a machine is selected that uses a filter with a passage of 20-40 microns. The low energy consumption of the filter (0.25 – 1.8 kW), the low maintenance and production costs and the quality of the return water ensure a very attractive payback model. The vibrating sieve is available in a range with diameters of 18” (450 mm) ) to 84” (2100mm).

Auxilaire Systems

The AMKCO “Auxiliary Systems” sieving machine offers you the possibility to increase the sieving surface of an existing machine or to install a sieving machine that requires a relatively small floor space compared to the available sieving area.

In an AMKCO AS machine, a screen deck with a smaller diameter is placed above the usual screen deck. This not only increases the sieve surface considerably, but because the first (smaller) sieve deck can be used to the maximum, most of the total capacity is sieved on this sieve deck.

The lower sieve deck then sieves the rest of the product, which in addition to a significant increase in capacity also results in a very high efficiency.

Standard filter

AMKCO screening machines are used for both dry and wet screening applications. The AMKCO Standard sieving machine can be used in a very wide area. Every AMKCO vibratory sieve is modular, so that every machine can be adapted or expanded with standard components at any time, without having to make major structural adjustments to the machine. Various cleaning systems are available for an existing AMKCO standard screening machine, which can be implemented flawlessly beforehand or afterwards. A single-deck machine can be converted to a multi-deck machine using standard components.

In a machine range with diameters from 18” (450 mm) to 84” (2100 mm), many applications can suffice with an AMKCO standard screening machine. Based on the specific application, it is determined whether a cleaning system (balls, rings or ultrasonic) is necessary in an AMKCO standard screening machine. This will be determined on the basis of a short test or previous experience.

Dedusting sieving machine

Removing dust is perhaps the most difficult task in sieving technology. After all, the largest amount of products is on the screen deck and hinders the supply of new product. The trick to dedusting lies mainly in increasing the discharge capacity, and in particular the discharge capacity of the product on the screen deck. The AMKCO Dedusting machine is the ideal screening machine for this!

Normally the product is on its way from the screening deck to the outlet that is located somewhere in the wall of the machine. With only one outlet, there is, as it were, a traffic jam of product on its way to that one outlet. If the supply is too high, the screen deck will fill up and the process will stop.

The AMKCO Dedusting machine (dedusting machine) has a screen deck that is one size smaller than the machine suggests. As a result, the product, which ends up on the outside of the screen deck, is no longer on its way to the outlet, but falls directly from the screen deck and ends up on the convex bottom, which forces the product towards the outlet of the AMKCO Dedusting machine. In this way the screen deck remains free of product for much longer and a considerably higher capacity and efficiency is achieved.

Multi-deck screening machine

Classification is one of the disciplines for which a screening machine is used. In addition to removing contaminants from a liquid or powder stream, a screening machine is regularly used to divide a product stream into multiple fractions.

An AMKCO Multi-deck machine has several different sieve openings one above the other and the product is carried out of the machine at different levels from coarse to fine product. It is important here that the product, which has flowed through the upper screen deck, is guided to the center of the next screen deck. This is done by means of a so-called distribution frame.

This distribution frame is similar in appearance to all other frames, but it is equipped on the inside with a funnel-shaped, convex bottom with a central outlet opening. In addition, the distribution frame is equipped with two inspection openings, so that the screen image and the inspection of the screen mesh can always be carried out in production.

Straight-flo screening machine

An AMKCO Straight Flo machine is often used as a final check screen above, for example, a Big-Bag filling installation, bulk truck or bag filling machine. Because the vibration motors are mounted on the side of the machine in an AMKCO Straight Flo machine, it is possible to let product fall through the machine in a straight line. This provides a high capacity, but is also subject to some restrictions.

Because the AMKCO Straight Flo machines do not have the same vibration patterns as traditional AMKCO screeners, the addition of traditional screen cleaning systems (with rings or balls) is less effective and it is more difficult to screen the product on fine screens smaller than 1 mm. AMKCO Straight Flo machines are extremely suitable for checking the product for coarse contamination.

Scalper machine

An AMKCO Scalper screening machine is used in situations where a large amount of product has to be cleaned of a small amount of "foreign material". Standard screening machines are equipped with a lower frame which is provided with a spherical bottom and a tangentially placed outlet. In most processes, the passage of the screen mesh is a limiting factor, the screen mesh simply cannot handle more product and will overflow.

In some processes, the limiting factor is not the permeability of the screen mesh, but the capacity of the lower frame. In that case, the capacity of the product is so high that the combination of the spherical bottom and the tangentially placed spout cannot handle this capacity. A Scalper sieving machine is equipped with a diagonally placed bottom that ensures that the product is fed directly towards the outlet of the machine.

Whey sieving machine

Whey from cheese production contains a certain curd that is sieved through a 43 micron sieve and comes out of the machine as cheese. Many cheese factories use the combination Vibrating Sieve – Fat Centrifuge – Pasteurization – Reverse Osmosis, with the aim of reducing the amount of whey by removing water and removing the whey in a targeted manner. Concentrated whey provides the cheese factory with the highest price per cubic meter. AMKCO has developed a special vibrating sieve for this process: the AMKCO whey sieve.

With pre-filtration through an AMKCO whey sieve, the quality of the cheese coming out of the sieve is that of cheese from the factory. Unlike centrifuges or rotary sieves, the AMKCO weize does not damage the structure of the cheese, causing it to still be valuable after sieving.

The fat centrifuge is an included element in the chain. These combine the fat that is still present in the whey. Fat is a component that is added as an ingredient in cheese production and has a very high value. Centrifuges, however, are very sensitive to contamination and require regular maintenance. The AMKCO ensures that the fat centrifuge not only has the last of contamination, but also the efficiency of the fat centrifuge becomes significant and this more vet results.

AMKCO whey sieves are standard equipped with a motor of up to 1.8 kW, with capacities of 30-35 m3/hour being no exception. This also makes the pre-filtration process particularly efficient.
